Crowns and Bridges

Crowns and bridges which are made of porcelain placed on the zirconium are called CERCON that is the word of the combination ceramic and zirconium. Since they have high physical values, light transmission feature, tissue compliance and many kinds of indications they launched a new era in dentistry.

Although the appearance of the crowns are affected by many things, the most important one is the response to light. Natural teeth allow light to pass through, so that brightness appears. Because of the light transmission features of this all porcelain crowns they have more depth and brightness so they are more similar to natural teeth.

The advantages of all porcelain crowns

• Porcelain fused to metal crowns in some light(disco, photoflash) have a dark empty appearance, but all porcelain crowns allow light to pass through like natural teeth.
• All porcelain crowns are aesthetic because they allow light to pass through. Even porcelain fused to metal crowns are well made they have artificial look. Because of that all porcelain crowns are prefered especially in anterior teeth.
• MSince there is no metal in all porcelain crowns there is no dark line in crown-gum margin. So they are more aesthetic.
• Porcelain fused to metal crowns attach to teeth mechanicly. All porcelain crowns attach both mechanicly and chemically so their attachment is more strong.
• There is no risk of allergy to some metals like nickel.
• If there is gum recession, all porcelain crowns maintain their aesthetic appearance, but porcelain fused to metal crowns have bad appearance in the region where they combined with teeth.
